In a run-up to the next year's Tokyo Olympics, the new Union Sports Minister, Kiren Rijiju, met the national campers—to take stock of the situation—at the National Sports Institute (NIS) Patiala.
NIS is an old and premier sports training-cum-teaching institute of India which has been serving the nation since 1961.
In his first visit to NIS, Kiren Rijiju discussed various issues—with main stakeholder, the players—pertaining to preparations for the next Olympics. Minister assured of every possible help in their preparation for upcoming Olympics.
