BJP slams TRS govt on debts, construction of new Secretariat

“KCR ji throwing this State into a debt trap. While 16 Chief Ministers who ruled this State for 65 years took debt to the tune of Rs 69,000 crore, this great man, the emperor… took loans to the tune of Rs 1.20 lakh crore. Our Chief Minister has thrown this state into a debt trap of Rs 1.80 lakh crore,”said State BJP president K Laxman slamming the TRS government.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, Laxman alleged that the government led by Chandrasekar Rao  ignored its election promise of providing double bedroom houses for poor and construction of hospitals in districts.
He further said the BJP finds fault with TRS government’s misuse of public money and opposes the demolition of the Secretariat buildings. The party unit in the State would protest against anti-people’s policies of TRS government warned Laxman.
Further referring to AICC secretary G Chinna Reddy’s comments and the row involving PV Narasimha Rao, Laxman said Congress insulted the former Prime Minister two days ago. He further said if Congress party leadership does not take action against the leaders who made the remarks, it means that they too supported Reddy’s comments.
Laxman then flayed Telangana Chief Minister saying that he too had ignored Narasimha Rao by not paying tributes to the late leader on his birth anniversary yesterday.
Meanwhile, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader M Bhatti Vikramarka has also alleged that the TRS government made the debts reach Rs 1.80 lakh crore. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone Thursday for construction of new Secretariat and legislature buildings which together are estimated to cost Rs 500 crore.
