Andhra government slashes security cover to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's ancestral home

Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday reduced the security provided to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's residence in Naravaripalli of Chittoor district. The decision comes days after YSR Congress government slashed TDP chief's security cover and he was frisked at the airport.
Chandrababu Naidu is an MLS from Kuppam constituency of the district and holds his ancestor's house at Naravaripalli of the district. Earlier an elaborate security with at least 23 armed men of Andhra Pradesh police was deputed at Chandrababu's residence. Now, the government has reduced the cover to an ASI and two constables. Security cover to Naidu's family members has also been reduced by the YSR Congress government.
"As Chandrababu Naidu is no more the Chief Minister of the state, certain protocols he was enjoying as the CM have been removed and so is his family security cover," sources in the ruling party said. The cover of former minister and Naidu's son Nara Lokesh, who was enjoying Z category security, has also been downgraded. Earlier, Lokesh who is an MLC had a 5+5 security which has been now been reduced to 2+2. Other facilities of his cavalcade have also been cut.
