BJP MLC N Ramchander Rao was taken into custody after he tried to protest against the construction of the new secretariat buildings. Rao alleged that he was not allowed by the police to organise a planned protest against the construction of a new secretariat building by demolishing the old one.
He wondered the state of democracy in Telangana when the police turned down permission for the protest. However, the police detained him when he tried to protest against the new secretariat building construction.
