Protesters blocked Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy's convoy in Yermarus. the Chief Minister was on his way to Karegudda, Manvi Taluk for his 'village stay program'.  A 'shame! shame!' slogan was also raised by the protesters.
The CM had left for his second village stay in a government bus, which was stopped just outside the inspection bungalow in Yermarus.
Hundreds of workers from Yermarus Thermal Power Station, Neeravari Valaya Hangami Karmika Sangha, and Hutti Gold Mines Staff and Employees were protesting over the wages and other issues and blocked Kumaraswamy's convoy.
