CM bats for central govt schemes

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has urged the general public to avail benefits of welfare schemes initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sawant said that special awareness camps will be organised in all panchayats for sensitising the general public about benefits of the welfare schemes. He alleged that some officials are creating hurdles in the allotment of the benefits to villagers in rural areas. The government has set a target of 100 per cent public awareness of welfare schemes initiated by the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as the state government schemes, he added. The chief minister was addressing the public on Sunday at a special awareness camp held at the Pale panchayat hall. He lit the lamp to mark the inauguration of the camp. Bicholim mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit informed the public about the purpose behind organisation of awareness camps. He also briefed about the welfare schemes initiated by Prime Minister and asked the public to seek benefits of schemes like Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana, Kisan Vikas Yojana, Jeevan Bima Yojana, Mudra Yojana, and other central schemes which are being implemented. The programme was compered by Dattaprasad Jog and Ajeet Gaonkar while Pradeep Gawade proposed the vote of thanks. A total of 220 villagers enrolled during the special camp.
