Mountaineer talks peaks and perils with Governor

Twenty-year-old Amgoth Tukaram, who became the youngest mountaineer from South India to scale Mt. Everest from the treacherous South Col route, met Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to thank him for supporting his expedition.
The mountaineer was introduced to the Governor by Sri Ramachandruru, Special Representative of State Government in Delhi. Tukaram briefed Mr. Narasimhan about the “dangerous expedition” and how he experienced the extreme weather conditions to complete the trip.
Mr. Narasimhan appreciated Mr. Tukaram’s spirit and hoped that he r would realise his dream of conquering the Seven Summits (across the seven continents), having already scaled two of them. Sources said Tukaram, at the meeting, was assured of all support for his future endeavours.
