The Centre has assured to set up a separate directorate for the AYUSH in Nagaland. Union Minister of State for AYUSH Shripal Yesso Naik conveyed the decision to Nagaland Minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom when he called on the former in New Delhi on Tuesday, a release stated yesterday.
Naik told Phom that the AYUSH project would cover all the 11 districts of Nagaland. Apprising the Union Minister of the implementation of the AYUSH scheme in the State, Phom requested him for more AYUSH hospitals in all the districts of the State.
The release said Naik appreciated the State for implementing the AYUSH scheme in the State properly and assured of launching more AYUSH projects in the State.
The Union minister asked the State to submit priority projects at the earliest. Phom was accompanied by State Health and Family Welfare Commissioner and Secretary Himato and Director Vizolie. On Monday, Phom called on Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and sought help in completing the Nagaland Medical College in time.
