Zero tolerance to corruption, says Chief Minister

After announcing that the State government would constitute a judicial commission for awarding and reviewing government contracts, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy cautioned his Cabinet colleagues that he would not spare anyone who faced corruption charges.
At the first Cabinet meeting on Monday, Mr. Jagan discussed the need for setting up of a judicial commission. Underlining his commitment for zero corruption in administration, the CM said he was committed to providing honest and effective administration.
The Ministers have to be cautious in discharging their duties, he reportedly said, adding, “Ministers facing corruption charges would be dropped from the Cabinet immediately.”
At the same time, Mr. Jagan said that Ministers were not dummies. When the officials observed that a committee could be formed by them, Mr. Jagan reportedly said his Ministers would actively involve themselves in all activities which come under their purview.
