MCI Gives Nod For Admission In Four Government Medical Colleges In Odisha

In an important development, the Medical Council of India (MCI) today gave its nod for admission into MBBS seats of all four new medical colleges of Odisha for the academic session 2019-20.
The enrollment of students in 100 MBBS seats each was allowed in Fakir Mohan Medical College & Hospital in Balasore district and Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital in Balangir district in the 2nd batch.
Similarly, intake of students was allowed in the 3rd batch in Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College & Hospital in Mayurbhanj district and Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College & Hospital in Koraput district in equal number of MBBS seats.
The permission was granted after MCI teams made a thorough inspection of the infrastructures at all these four colleges over past couple of months and the same will remain valid for a period of one year. The next batch of students will be admitted in the colleges after renewal of permissions by the MCI.
