Efforts on to resolve tourism industry’s power woes in one and half yrs: Cabral

Power Minister Nilesh Cabral said the government is making efforts to provide complete relief to hoteliers and tourism-related other industries from the disrupted power supply in next one-and-a-half-years.
The power minister has initiated regular dialogues with Tours and Travels Association of Goa (TTAG) and its members to resolve power supply-related issues.
Cabral, who held the third meeting with TTAG members on Thursday at Secretariat, told this daily that the government was aware of the problems faced by hoteliers and other industries, thus, holding review meetings with the stakeholders on a quarterly basis so as to resolve issues pertaining to the power supply.
“I have been giving personal hearings to industry members as regards the power supply issues. Our motto is to give relief to hoteliers and other industries,” he said, maintaining that the government has set a target to resolve power supply-related issues by next one-and-a-half-years in the state.
