K Muraleedharan thanks CM Pinarayi Vijayan for UDF win

Senior Congress party leader K. Muraleedharan, the MP-elect from Vadakara, has thanked Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for "ensuring" the victory of UDF in 19 Lok Sabha seats.
“If Mr Vijayan had campaigned in Alappu-zha two more times, UDF could have won that segment as well and swept all the 20 seats in the state,” he told reporters here on Sunday.
"He is hell-bent on going down in history as the last Communist chief minister of Kerala."
Mr Muraleedharan, who was here to pay tributes at the memorial of his father K. Karunak-aran at Murali Mandir-am at Punkunnam, said that in 2004 A. K. Antony had resigned after the electoral debacle in which UDF managed to get only one out of the 20.
