Karnataka crisis: 2 Congress MLAs meet BJP’s S.M.Krishna

Two Congress legislators were spotted on Sunday at the home of former Karnataka chief minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader S.M.Krishna, setting off alarm bells for the H.D.Kumaraswamy-led coalition government, that is trying to keep its alliance alive despite the glaring differences that emerged in the just-concluded Lok Sabha polls.
Ramesh Jarkiholi has already announced to resign while Dr.Sudhakar, who has openly expressed his displeasure over the alliance, visited Krishna’s home in Bengaluru along with other BJP leaders, people aware of the developments confirmed.
Disgruntled elements like Jarkiholi and Sudhakar have become easy pickings for the BJP and its plans to bring down the government--a plan that appears closer than it ever was in the last one year.
The Lok Sabha election results adding to the drama and political uncertainty in the state, where the drought-hit population is begging to be heard by an administration that has spent a significant portion of its time and resources dealing with factors adding to the troubles of the fragile and complicated coalition.
