Rajasthan: Lok Sabha 2019 results to be better than 2014, says BJP Rajsamand candidate Diya Kumari

Lok Sabha polls 2019 are over. After a number of exit polls have predicted the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) crossing the majority mark, the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) leaders in Rajasthan have been exuding confidence before the actual results come out on May 23.

BJP candidate from Rajsamand Lok Sabha constituency, Diya Kumari, expressed confidence that the performance can be better than the outcome of 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Diya Kumari belongs to the Jaipur royal family.

"I think we are going to get more seats at the Centre than last time. And in the state, BJP will retain all 25 seats. I am absolutely confident about that. Modiji played a huge role in this election. Major developmental work has been done in the past five years. He has given strong leadership and has taken strong decisions. Everybody has seen that. The public wants Modiji back as prime minister," Diya Kumari said.

Rajasthan has 25 Lok Sabha seats. During the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won all 25 seats. Several BJP MPs who were elected in 2014 such as Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore were ministers in the Modi government.

"Rajasamand constituency is going to be my main focus and I am going to take up issues related to Rajsamand. That will be my priority. Any other issues which I need to, you know, do anything about or raise in the House, I am definitely going to do that as well," Diya Kumari, the BJP candidate, told India Today TV.
