Goa Exit Poll Results: Congress, BJP projected to win a seat each in the state

As soon as the seventh and final phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was concluded, a frenzy of exit polls ensued predicting a thumping victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) yet again. However, in the coastal state of Goa, the BJP is projected to lose one of the two Lok Sabha seats to its eternal rival Congress. According to Times Now-VMR Exit Poll, the grand old party is likely to witness a sharp spike in its vote share while the saffron party's vote share is expected to decline slightly from 2014.
According to the Times Now-VMR Exit Poll, the Congress may win a seat in Goa improving on its previous elections' performance where it failed to even open its account in the state. The exit poll further suggests that the grand old party may witness an increase in its vote share from 36.6 per cent in 2014 to 44.6 per cent in 2019.
