TR Zeliang miffed at delay in Naga peace talk agreement

Nagaland’s Opposition leader TR Zeliang has expressed displeasure over ‘inordinate delay’ in signing final agreement between the NSCN (IM) and Central government.
Zeliang on Friday said the “undue delay” in arriving at a final settlement to the Naga problem is “disheartening” despite signing of the ceasefire agreement between the Centre and the NSCN (I-M) in 1997 and holding of several rounds of peace talks in the last 21 years.
Even after signing of the Framework Agreement between the Centre and the NSCN (I-M), which is now joined by seven Naga national political groups, the issue has not come to a conclusion, Zeliang lamented.
