Will ‘Center’ Deadlock Continue for Andhra Pradesh?

We are around four weeks away from the results of Andhra Pradesh Elections. Both TDP and YSR Congress are hopeful of coming to Power and both the parties have their own reasons about their assumptions. The party that will come to Power at the Center will also be very crucial for Andhra Pradesh. UPA is looking clueless and if BJP comes back to Power, problems will aggravate for Andhra Pradesh. If Chandrababu Naidu gets another term, given the friction between him and Narendra Modi, it is unlikely that the Central Government will co-operate with AP Government and in fact, Modi may pose more problems for Naidu. If at Jagan wins this election, it is no good news for Andhra Pradesh. It is unlikely for BJP or the Central Government to support Jagan Mohan Reddy who is trapped into several Corruption Cases. BJP which is looking to set its foothold in Andhra Pradesh may try the same way how they dealt with TDP after 2014 elections. It is estimated that Andhra Pradesh will record a Deficit of 4.79 Lakh Crore in the next five years. Furthermore, both TDP and YSR Congress have promised several welfare schemes which will be a huge burden for the state exchequer. Andhra Pradesh will definitely need the help of Central Government to overcome this crisis.
