‘Ensure BJP does not open its account in south India’

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu underlined the need for people to reject the BJP and ensure the victory of the candidates of the coalition partners in the ongoing elections to the Lok Sabha.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for giving assurances and not implementing them. The BJP in its manifesto said that it would take up linking of rivers and would implement it on schedule. But I am sure it will only remain as an assurance and will not be implemented,” he observed.
Mr. Naidu was addressing an election rally at Sri Ram Nagar in Gangavati, coming under the Kanakagiri Assembly segment forming part of the Koppal Lok Sabha constituency, in Koppal district on Sunday, seeking votes in favour of Congress candidate Rajashekar Hitnal.
