Rajini: I’m ready for the next Assembly election

A day after ‘My Next Vote For Rajini’ trended on social media on Election Day in Tamil Nadu, actor Rajinikanth reaffirmed that he would contest the next State Assembly elections here in Chennai on Friday.
Asked if he was ready to contest in the next Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, which will be decided after the results for the 38 Lok Sabha and 22 State Assembly seats are announced on May 23, Mr. Rajinikanth reiterated, “When State Assembly elections for 234 Assembly constituencies are near…I will decide (about the launch of the party). We are ready for it whenever it comes.”
Speaking about his fans expressing their support for him on social media, he said, “I understand that they are eager. I won’t disappoint my fans.”
Mr. Rajinikanth also said that he would decide on launching the party after the results on May 23.
He said the 72% voter turnout in Tamil Nadu in the recent polls was ‘reasonable’.
