If we return to power, faith of devotees will be protected: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will go for ‘constitutional support’ to protect the faith of devotees if it returns to power after the Lok Sabha election.
“After May 23, we will form a government and fight for the protection of faith of the devotees and the ongoing practices from the court to Parliament. We will give constitutional support,” the Prime Minister said while addressing the Vijay Sankalp rally organised at the Central stadium here in support of BJP candidates Kummanam Rajasekharan and Shobha Surendran of Thiruvananthapuram and Attingal constituencies respectively.
Without naming Sabarimala, Mr. Modi said the BJP’s stand was clear on the issue and accused the Congress of playing a double role on the Supreme Court verdict on entry of women into the hill shrine. Lashing out at the Congress and the CPI(M), the Prime Minister said they did not care for the lives of the people and faith of devotees. The Left parties were against religious beliefs, traditions and age-old practices.
