Goa will be turned into a model state: Gadkari

Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari Wednesday said that Goa will be turned into a model state in the country free from water and air pollution, as it was the dream of former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar and former deputy chief minister late Francis D’Souza.
Addressing a public meeting in Mapusa, the Union minister said that everyone had taken a decision in that regard but time betrayed them. “So now we have to fulfil their dream,” Gadkari said.
“If there is ayaram gayaram then it is a problem. Everything is good in Goa but I don’t know why despite being educated MLAs change their party. It is not their fault, you (voters) have not elected right candidates,” Gadkari said.
He said that he speaks straight and added that Goa will develop only if there is a stable government for which all MLAs must be together. “Otherwise, there will be ayaram gayaram, and then blackmailing will start. After facing a lot of difficulty we have succeeded in giving a stable government and if you want a stable government then vote for lotus,” he appealed to the people.
