Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G. Nageswara Rao and Indian Academy of Sciences Director R. Srinivasan on Monday said that supply of physics experimental kits at affordable cost was need of the hour to inculcate interest among children on the research.
Physics experimental refresher course began in M.R.College here on Monday.
Speaking as a chief guest, Dr. Nageswara Rao said that continuous experiments would enable youngsters to know theory perfectly.
He said that physics would not be understood if there was no proper research. Dr. Srinivasan said that the academy was trying to supply physics kits at affordable cost.
He urged the government to look into the issue and create interest on research.
College principal G.A. Kalyani and Physics Department head and Coordinator of the course D.B.R.K. Murthy hoped that the two-week long course would help professors to come up with new ideas.
