Rich tributes were paid to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar by various political and social organisations in Tirupati on Sunday, commemorating his 128th birth anniversary.
At Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Joint Executive Officer K.S. Sreenivasa Raju said the TTD was a role model in according equal treatment to all. Tirupati Brahmana Samajam president K. Ajay Kumar, secretary C. Raghavan, member K. Rajesh and others paid tributes to Dr. Ambedkar.
At Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Vice-Chancellor V. Muralidhara Sharma paid tributes to Dr. Ambedkar and said the institution would offer special coaching in civil services to SC/ST students from this year. AP Southern Discom CMD M.M. Nayak, APSRTC Regional Manager T. Chengal Reddy, A.P. Scheduled Castes Welfare Association president P. Paramasivan and Madabhushi Anantasayanam Institute of Public Affairs (MAIPA) chairman and former Speaker Agarala Eswara Reddi were among those who paid their respects to Dr. Ambedkar.
