“We are extremely confident that the BJP candidates will defeat M. Mallikarjun Kharge in Kalaburagi and K.H. Muniyappa in Kolar,” BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa said in Bailhongal on Saturday.
“The BJP will win 22 seats in Karnataka and these two leaders will lose. I can give it to you in writing,” he said. “The victory of Belagavi candidate Suresh Angadi is certain. We are waiting for the results only to know the victory margin,” he said.He said AICC president Rahul Gandhi was criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi without any basis.
“He knows that any criticism of Mr. Modi will make news. This is why he is endlessly criticising the PM,” he said. “He has neglected his job of building his party. He goes around saying things like chowkidar is a thief. What does Mr. Gandhi know about Mr Modi’s integrity?,” he asked.
