VVPAT slips to be counted in 6 polling stations

Votes polled in four polling stations under Tura Lok Sabha constituency and two under Shillong Lok Sabha constituency would be counted by counting the slips generated by the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs). Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
Meghalaya chief electoral officer, F.R. Kharkongor on Friday said that the six polling stations, where slips generated by VVPATs would be counted, include four under Tura Lok Sabha constituency – Possengagre, Kochapara, Aminda Simsang (all under Gambegre Assembly constituency) and Dawar Katinggre (Williamnagar Assembly constituency) – and two under Shillong Assembly constituency – Nongpyndeng (Nongstoiñ Assembly seat) and Khliehrangnah (Raliang Assembly constituency).
