BJP seeks Urdu media help to reach out to Muslims

With an eye on two parliamentary constituencies with sizable minority votes, the BJP has sought the help of Urdu press for coverage. In East Delhi, 21 per cent of the electorate is Muslim, while in North East Delhi, it's 20 per cent. Therefore, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari has sought the coverage for the party in Urdu print and electronic media.
The move can also benefit its contestants in Chandni Chowk and South Delhi parliamentary constituencies. In Chandni Chowk, Muslims consist 13 per cent of the population whereas in South Delhi, it's seven percent.
