Rahul Shewale threatens BJP over Kirit Somaiya’s candidature

Even though CM Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray has forged an alliance for the polls, it seems, the party cadre have difficulty to stomach the decision.
Sena’s Member of Parliament from Mumbai South Central Rahul Shewale has reminded the BJP that the Sainiks have not forgotten how Kirit Somaiya, BJP’s MP from Mumbai North-east had insulted Sena president Thackeray and Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray. Shewale said Sena cadre still remember how Somaiya had criticised leaders. Kirit had used the word ‘Mafia’ against Thackeray and had alleged a huge corruption in the BMC was allowed with the support of Thackerays.
Shewale said the decision about the candidature for Mumbai North-East will be taken by Fadnavis and Thackeray. Meanwhile, a senior BJP leader claimed Kirit will not be replaced just because of the threat from the Sena. “Kirit will get ticket before April 2 and Saniks will campaign for him,” the BJP leader claimed, adding it was the issue of ego, BJP know how to tackle ego of Sainiks.
