Gov urges mainland students to visit NE for research

Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has urged IIT and university students from mainland India to visit North-eastern States to study and carry out research on the region’s natural resources and rich culture and come up with best strategies for harnessing and strengthening them through education and development.
The Governor also appealed to the students and professionals to invest their knowledge in working for the interest of the nation, instead of going to other countries.
During a conversation with screen writer, columnist and author Advaita Kala on the theme “A call of changemakers” at IIT, Delhi on Sunday, the governor mentioned that there were 800 universities in the country, out of which five were in Nagaland.
