LS Elections 2019: Supreme Court Asks EC to finalise the names in Electoral Roll by March 28

The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Election Commission to furnish details of the addition and deletion of names in the electoral roll between January 1, 2018, and Jan 1, 2019, by March 28.
In order to keep a check on illegal money flow in the upcoming general elections, the EC has set up a high powered committee comprising of many enforcement, financial, and security agencies, ET reported.
Furthermore, former Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla today gave a thumbs up to the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to be used in Lok Sabha Elections 2019, arguing that the equipment cannot be hacked or manipulated as they are not accessible through external machines and are kept under the surveillance of senior government officials.
