With Lok Sabha poll round the corner, BJP-led coalition government in Manipur is on project inauguration and foundation stone laying spree.
Two days after a number of developmental projects were dedicated besides laying foundation stones for many other projects in Imphal West on Sunday, chief minister N Biren Singh today inaugurated as many as 19 different developmental projects and also laid foundation stone of 28 new projects in Imphal East district on Tuesday.
The 19 projects dedicated today worth Rs 39.58 crore together while the 28 new developmental projects which the foundation stones were laid today at a grand function held at the auditorium of Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Palace Compound were worth around Rs 184.45 crore. Singh further launched Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM), a pension scheme for unorganised workers, apart from distributing sewing machines, water tanks and bicycles to selected beneficiaries under Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Scheme at the function.
