LS polls: BJP announces a series of programmes

Shifting its focus from wooing the ruling combine MLAs to preparations for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party State unit on Monday announced a series of programmes aimed at galvanising the party cadre ahead of the general elections.
One of these includes a mass contact programme of visiting 75 lakh houses in the State between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on February 24.
Briefing media persons on the preparations, BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa said party flags would be hoisted on the houses and stickers supporting the party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be posted on the walls during the campaigning. A ‘Modi vijaya sankalpa yatre’ will be inaugurated in Bidar on February 22. These programmes would go on till March 19. Also, the ‘Nanna parivara - BJP Parivara’ programme under which party workers will have to hoist party flags on their houses and post pictures in this regard on social media would go on till March 2.
