Priyanka Gandhi gets ready to hold first press conference in Lucknow today

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who is learning the ropes of politics as the Congress general secretary for eastern UP, will hold her first press conference in Lucknow today. The press conference will end her four-day visit to Uttar Pradesh.
Priyanka Gandhi has been holding marathon meetings with party workers, prepping the party in eastern Uttar Pradesh for the coming Lok Sabha elections.
It was almost after two decades that Congress office was abuzz post-midnight in the high profile Mall Avenue colony of Lucknow.
Workers buzzed around breaking into slogans in periodic intervals. The new General Secretary and the latest debutant from the Gandhi family Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was in marathon meeting with workers that started at one thirty in the noon and continued non stop for almost sixteen hours.
Her first day in office saw her nameplate put up on the first floor of the historic building along with her counterpart Jyotiraditya Scindia. This is where she met workers one by one patiently listening.
On the third day of her Uttar Pradesh visit, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Wednesday roped in little-known Mahan Dal as the party's ally for Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh and held threadbare discussions with Congress workers.
