Former Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary P. Rama Mohana Rao on Monday joined Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan as his adviser.
Mr. Rao, who served under former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for over six years, met Mr. Kalyan in Vijayawada to accept his invitation and joined the party.
Mr. Rao claimed that Mr. Kalyan was inspired by the leadership qualities of Jayalalithaa and was keen on implementing her welfare schemes. “He is very passionate about the well-being of women, fishermen and downtrodden communities. I now have a new hope in realising the vision of ‘Amma’ (Jayalalithaa) in Andhra Pradesh,” Mr. Rao told The Hindu.
