Co-ordination committee of tribe hohos, CSOs, various committees and mass based organisations under the umbrella of NGBF has reminded the Naga public that the proposed 6am-4pm Nagaland bandh on February 11 will go ahead as scheduled.

A press release issued by media cell, co-ordination committee informed that the bandh has been called to protest the planned passage of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB) 2016 in the Rajya Sabha which is “unconstitutional and against the sentiment of the whole Northeast people.”
The CAB issue strikes at the very heart of indigenous existence and therefore is imperative that all concerned Nagas welcome the bandh, it said, to show deep resentment to the union government that: “our right to existence cannot be toyed with.”
