Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting near Etukuru bypass road on Sunday. The programme titled ‘Satya Meva Jayathe’ is expected to launch the BJP poll campaign in the State and boost the morale of partymen ahead of the general elections.
Preparations were on with SPG personnel visiting the venue and finalising the security protocol. Superintendent of Police, Guntur, Ch. Vijaya Rao and Commissioner Shrikesh B. Latkar visited the venue.
The run up to the meeting was tense with the TDP gunning for the BJP. State president Kanna Lakshminarayana alleged in a press conference that the TDP was out to scuttle the preparations.
The PM had introduced 130 welfare schemes in these five years besides other welfare measures, he said.
He accused Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj Nara Lokesh of intimidating an agency for putting up posters of the PM. The Chief Minister of A.P. had been instigating his partymen to attack the BJP in a cowardly manner, he alleged.
