Karnataka to ready DPR on making Bidar-Srirangapatna NH four-lane

The State government will soon prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) on upgrading the Bidar-Srirangapatna National Highway to a four-lane and submit it to the Centre, Minister for Public Works H.D. Revanna said.
After chairing a review meeting of development works taken up at Kalaburagi, Bidar and Yadgir districts, Mr. Revanna told presspersons in Kalaburagi on Monday, that the State would send the DPR to the Union Ministry of Surface Transport for approval to upgrade Bidar-Srirangapatna NH-150A, that passes through Kalaburagi, Ballari, Hiriyur and Nagamangala, to a four-lane road.
He said that the State government would also obtain Cabinet approval to widen a 145 km-stretch of the inter-State highway connecting Ripponpalli in Andhra Pradesh and Wagdhari in Maharashtra passing through Kalaburagi, to additional 1.6 metres.
He said officials have been warned to complete the work taken up under Special Component Plan and Tribal Su Plan (SCP-TSP) in all the three districts by February 20.
