Modi to launch campaign in Hubballi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick-start the BJP’s poll campaign in the State in Hubballi on February 10, said senior BJP leader R. Ashok. Speaking to presspersons here on Sunday, Mr. Ashok, who is in charge of Mr. Modi’s poll campaign in the State, said that the Hubballi rally will be held at the open grounds adjacent to Oxford College on Kusugal Road here at 4 p.m. on that day.
The Hubballi rally will be followed by another rally at Kalaburagi on February 17. There are plans to hold a third rally for which the date and location is yet to be finalised. Mr. Modi is expected to address nine to 11 rallies in the State. This apart, BJP national president Amit Shah is expected to visit the State on February 19 and 27. The venue for these programmes is yet to be identified.
In Hubballi, Mr. Modi is expected to address a three-lakh strong audience. Party leaders and workers from Dharwad, Haveri and Canara parliamentary constituencies will participate in the rally. A total of 33 committees have been formed in connection with Mr. Modi’s election rally, he said.
